Niedax launches Synnoscape: Bringing the future of infrastructure to life

The project

Turning invisible infrastructure into a tangible experience

With Synnoscape, the Niedax Group, one of the leading manufacturers of cable installation systems, is setting a strong example for the future of industrial infrastructure. The partner network brings together expertise in energy, data, and physical infrastructure. To showcase the potential of this ecosystem, an Experience Center was established on the Niedax Technology Campus. Developed in collaboration with our experience design partner uniplan, the center demonstrates how intelligent connectivity has become a key success factor and makes the ecosystem’s capabilities tangible for visitors.

This ambitious vision required extensive coordination and presented several key challenges:

  • Complex topic with diverse audience: Energy supply, data networks, and physical infrastructure usually remain invisible. Explaining how they work together — and why this matters — is difficult, especially for visitors without a technical background.

  • Many partners, no shared story: Twelve partners from different industries were involved in the project. Each had their own focus and strengths, but there was no common storyline showing how all contributions fit together.

  • High visibility at launch: The opening of Synnoscape took place under political attention at federal level. Messages had to be clear, consistent, and understandable for a wide range of audiences — from decision-makers to first-time visitors.

  • Risk of a disconnected experience: While the Experience Center created a powerful on-site experience, there was no digital layer to extend engagement before or after the visit.

The goal

Creating clarity across spaces, partners, and digital touchpoints

SUNZINET’s role was to turn this complex setup into a clear, understandable, and convincing experience — both on site and digitally. Our goals were to:

  • Create a clear overarching story: Explain in simple terms how energy, data, and infrastructure interact — and why this system approach is important for the future.
  • Align all partners around one narrative: Help partners communicate their contributions as part of one shared story, while keeping their individual expertise visible.
  • Design an intuitive visitor journey: Translate complex infrastructure topics into a logical flow that visitors can easily follow, working closely with architecture and exhibition design (together with our partner uniplan).
  • Ensure clarity and reliability at launch: Develop messaging that works across audiences and stands up to public and political scrutiny.
  • Build the digital layer of Synnoscape: Design and implement a digital platform that extends the physical Experience Center and provides a basis for future content and growth.

Strategy & implementation: Delivering clarity, stability, and a scalable digital backbone

  • Two women seated at a table in conversation, one smiling in a light blazer and the other wearing a patterned blouse.

SUNZINET was responsible for translating and further developing Niedax’s vision into a communication and marketing strategy that transformed a complex infrastructure topic into a compelling visitor experience. Working closely with uniplan, SUNZINET:

    • Developed the core experience story, positioning infrastructure as an interconnected system with everyday relevance.
    • Translated abstract concepts into storytelling and spatial logic that visitors can easily follow.
    • Ensured consistency between physical exhibits, digital content, and messaging across all touchpoints.

This strategy guided all subsequent digital and communication activities.

  • A woman and a man are sitting at a desk working together. The man is holding a laptop in his hands while the woman is pointing to something on the screen. The woman is wearing a beige blazer and the man is dressed in a white shirt. Behind them is a bookshelf with books and a plant.

SUNZINET built a scalable technical foundation to support the launch and future growth of Synnoscape.

    • Implemented a scalable TYPO3 platform for stability, extensibility, and multilingual content.
    • Created a structured backend architecture with user roles, permissions, and hosting integration.
    • Developed a TYPO3-based kiosk system powering digital content across more than ten screens in the Experience Center.
  • A smiling woman with long red hair, wearing a dark blouse, holds a marker in a bright office.

The digital experience was designed to make complex infrastructure topics easy to explore and understand. That's why we:

    • Created UI concepts for key pages, including Home, About Us, Contact, and Partner pages.
    • Designed the digital kiosk experience and content delivery across on-site screens.
    • Optimized the user experience through improved navigation, layouts, media modules, and technical refinements.
  • A man and a woman sit on a sofa in an office lounge, with the man holding a tablet and the woman pointing to its screen.

SUNZINET implemented a compliant analytics framework to support data-driven decision-making from day one.

    Key measures included:

    • Full Google Analytics 4 (GA4) setup.
    • Google Tag Manager (GTM) implementation.
    • CCM19-based consent management.
    • Alignment with the legal and data protection requirements of the Niedax Group.
  • Two men sitting at a table in a casual yet professional setting, both smiling and engaged in a lighthearted conversation. One man is wearing a white shirt, while the other is dressed in a blue blazer with a pocket square. They appear to be discussing something on a tablet or screen that the man in the blazer is holding. The background is minimalistic, with a dark-colored wall, creating a relaxed yet focused atmosphere.

SUNZINET developed and executed a communication strategy to maximize visibility before, during, and after the launch.

    • Created event messaging and storytelling for social media and follow-up communications.
    • Produced launch materials, including visuals, video assets, flyers, and speaker content.
    • Provided on-site support and collaborated closely with Niedax and uniplan throughout the event.
  • A group of four people are at the table in a modern office. The woman on the left is sitting in a high chair, while the rest of the people are standing. They are talking to each other.

SUNZINET designed a digital visitor management system connecting communication, organization, and visitor engagement.

    • Mapped the complete visitor journey, from invitation and registration to on-site participation.
    • Implemented automated communication flows, including confirmations, reminders, and follow-up emails.
    • Integrated CRM capabilities and a scalable architecture to support future growth and engagement.

Synnoscape officially opened on February 2, 2026, welcoming the German Federal Chancellor along with more than 200 guests from business, politics, and society.

With Synnoscape, Niedax established a strategic platform that makes complex infrastructure topics understandable and relevant for decision-makers. By combining a physical Experience Center, a partner ecosystem, and a digital platform, Synnoscape communicates a cohesive narrative around digital sovereignty, resilience, and sustainability.

The close integration of physical and digital experiences enables Niedax to continuously learn from visitor behavior and further develop content, partnerships, and use cases to ensure long-term scalability and relevance.
