Analysis of the status quo
In this phase, the current state of the system landscape is analyzed and documented. In the process, all systems used and their usage and purposes are recorded in order to identify integration potential and weak points.
Conception of the future system landscape
Based on the analysis, a target image is developed that describes the future system landscape. Process chains and data flows are defined and a logging strategy is developed to ensure reliability. The measures are prioritized and transferred to a project roadmap.
Implementation Phase
In this phase, the actual integration is carried out. The systems involved are connected via interfaces, fields are mapped and data transformations are configured. The integration usually takes place step by step.
Testing
After integration, comprehensive testing is carried out to ensure that all systems work smoothly together and that data is transferred correctly. After successful testing, the processes are transferred to live operation.
Training and documentation
After successful integration, the users of the systems are trained and comprehensive documentation is prepared to ensure the operation and maintenance of the integrated system.
Monitoring and maintenance
Even after integration, the system and the interfaces must be continuously monitored and maintained in order to detect and eliminate faults at an early stage.
