BayTMs organization employs more than 60 service providers at two locations. One important goal: to support the tourism and leisure industry and promote destinations. BayTM not only provides its partners with impulses and know-how, but also innovative tools and networks. To ensure that this networking also runs smoothly internally, SUNZINET was commissioned to implement a needs-oriented intranet.
The Challenge
The project start was characterized by the fact that working in a home office led to a social distance. For the return to the office routine, a seat booking tool in the shared desk system was designed to make it easier for employees to book seats across two locations. The challenge here was the technical implementation: An individual SharePoint web part had to be created that is integrated on a single SharePoint page and allows general access.

SharePoint Online for a Digital Workplace
The entire collaboration with Internal Communications and IT is supported by a partnership-based exchange and valuable advice. Microsoft technology serves as the basis for building a holistic digital workplace. This enables the start with the Teams app and results in the SharePoint intranet "Resi".
SUNZINET supports BayTM holistically in the implementation and introduction of the intranet - with the conception of the information architecture, with tools such as the seating planning tool or a birthday teaser, as well as with processes that have been digitized and automated in the intranet via Power Automate and SharePoint. SUNZINET succeeded in providing the decentralized editorial team with the best possible foundation - through a complete intranet with appropriate templates and page templates. The entire configuration of the environment and workflows as well as the implementation of the individual web parts (SPFx) was carried out by SUNZINET.
The Result
A vibrant intranet for dynamic employees
The central platform for the Digital Workplace is based on internal communication, efficient knowledge management and automated processes. This "living workplace" is created through accesses such as onboarding, seat booking and other components of the intranet. Thanks to its simple structure and intuitive usability, the platform was quickly integrated into everyday work and accepted by all employees.
In our new intranet, we want to create a home for our internal and informal communication and ensure cross-divisional exchange and knowledge transfer. Since we had not used an intranet before, an extensive redesign was necessary. To this end, we worked intensively with SUNZINET on an intuitive user interface, the digitalization of internal processes and the preparation of our content for various formats and use cases. On the basis of SharePoint, we can now use a modern digital workplace that supports all our colleagues in their daily work, enables effective information distribution and can be supplemented with new innovative modules at any time.
