Initial Situation
Many manual tasks hinder productivity
Without a suitable marketing automation tool, GFO struggled with the following challenges:
- Inefficient work: For marketing campaigns, employees had to perform many tasks manually, which proved to be time-consuming.
- Impersonal communication: GFO lacked the right tools for systematic segmentation and, consequently, the necessary information for tailored campaigns.
- Lack of insights: Without suitable analytical tools, it was almost impossible to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and make data-based decisions.
- Missing DOI process: The GFO lacked a double opt-in process, which is essential to ensure the legal compliance of its communication.
Solution
Mautic for an optimal integration with TYPO3
Due to the ongoing website relaunch with TYPO3, Mautic was the obvious choice for marketing automation. Mautic is also an open source software and can be optimally integrated into TYPO3. Simple configurations allow smooth communication between the two tools: for example, it is possible to integrate Mautic forms on TYPO3 pages, automatically transfer leads, synchronize data and use it for campaigns.
In addition, as license-free software, Mautic is relatively inexpensive compared to commercial solutions, but offers a wide range of features. This makes it particularly suitable for non-profit organizations, such as GFO, which do not have an unlimited marketing budget.
Implementation
Step by step to a Marketing Automation ready TYPO3 system
-
Our developers integrated Mautic into GFO's TYPO3 system. In the course of the website relaunch, they had already set up TYPO3 11 – without configuration, however, this version was not compatible with Mautic. Accordingly, they adjusted existing interfaces and enabled the two tools to work together flawlessly.
In addition, we adapted Mautic in order to optimally meet GFO's individual requirements. For example, we revised the design of the Mautic forms in the GFO style and optimized them for desktop and mobile view. -
We set up Mautic so that GFO employees could start using it straight away. This included, among other things:
- migration of existing contacts
- integration of Mautic forms on various TYPO3 pages,
- definition and maintenance of contact properties and segments,
- creation of initial workflows,
- setting up a DOI process
- and more.
-
SUNZINET instructed GFO employees in all relevant functions of Mautic, so that they can use the software independently. We are still available to answer all their questions and to implement new customer requirements – for example, if additional workflows or further technical adjustments are required.
The result: More marketing power with TYPO3 and Mautic
Mautic was successfully introduced at GFO. The association is currently using the tool in particular for automated lead capture and newsletter dispatch and is gradually exploring other features.
By integrating Mautic and TYPO3, GFO benefits from the following advantages:
Greater efficiency
Mautic automates repetitive marketing tasks and the DOI process. This reduces manual work for GFO and increases efficiency.
Personalized approach
With Mautic, GFO can effectively segment its target groups and realize personalized marketing campaigns tailored to their specific needs.
Deep understanding of the target group
The solution offers data collection and analytic tools that allow GFO to understand the behavior of its target groups and to make better decisions.
High scalability
Mautic impresses with its high scalability and adapts easily to the growing network. This makes it an attractive long-term solution for GFO.
Seamless collaboration
Different institutions work in one system, which improves the collaboration beetween them.
