TecAlliance is the leading expert for data management and processes in the automotive aftermarket. In the 30 years of its existence, the company has developed an impressive range of services. Their digital offering spans vehicle and spare parts data through globally renowned TecDoc Catalogue, along with repair and maintenance information, digital order handling and fleet management solutions.

The Goal

Creating a single source of truth for all Product details and breaking data-silos

TecAlliance, operating in a competitive B2B industry, needed an integrated digital solution to streamline its sales and marketing processes.  

Their existing systems, which managed product information, were fragmented and disconnected. For instance, TecAlliance's teams take part in 20 international tradeshows annually. In these events, they primarily used their website and PowerPoint presentations for showcasing their products at industry events - a method that created data-silos and was no longer practical or convenient. 

Therefore, we wanted to create a solution that enables efficient communication of product information among the teams. Thereby, empowering the sales and marketing teams with greater conversion potential to drive revenue growth.

The Project

We developed a Digital Products Portfolio that would serve as a single source of truth for product details for their teams - to enable better communication for their potential and existing customers. 

This platform aimed to do the following: 

  • Develop a centralized, digital catalogue as a single source of truth, providing real-time updates and accurate product information.
  • Ensure seamless integration of this digital tool with their existing systems, allowing for efficient data flow and communication during live presentations. 
  • Enable the Sales team to offer customizable options tailored to the specific needs of different event audiences, ensuring adaptability for various presentation scenarios. 
  • Provide stakeholders with sales analytics by tracking orders and inquiries made during presentations.

    We integrated Storyblok for content management, SendGrid for form submissions, and OKTA for secure login functionality. This integration ensured smooth data flow and communication between systems, improving efficiency across teams.

Strategy & Implementation

What did we implement and why?

For this project, we chose Storyblok - a headless CMS system designed to provide flexible and efficient content management.  

  • It allowed TecAlliance to create, update, and distribute product information content in one place, and share it effortlessly across websites, apps and other platforms without extra work.   
  • Additionally, Storyblok offers features like visual editing, content versioning, and multi-language support to enhance the content creation and management process.

For frontend we used Nuxt.js - a progressive framework built on top of Vue.js, designed to create universal (server-side rendered) and single-page Vue applications. 

  • It simplifies the development of Vue applications by providing a robust structure, out-of-the-box configuration.
  • Additionally, it's set of powerful features, such as Automatic code splittingserver-side rendering (SSR), and static site generation (SSG) enable SEO optimization.
    They ensure faster page load times and deliver fully formedcrawlable content to search engines, which enhances indexing and user experience. 

Nuxt.js also offers a module system that allows developers to extend the framework's capabilities with ease, making it suitable for a wide range of projects from small to enterprise-level applications.
