Since spring 2021, insights into the app for digital career guide have been available for the first time at The research and development project Berufswahlpass 4.0 (Career Choice Passport 4.0), which began in 2018, aims to develop and test an e-portfolio that can be used nationwide and across all school types to support self-directed learning as part of students' career orientation. As a full-service digital agency, SUNZINET is responsible for both the brand development and the technical implementation of the project.

The testing: already visible now ...

The landing page flanks the current testing phase and, in addition to general information, offers initial insights into the look and feel of the app with its own brand world. This includes elements such as the logo, illustrations, explanatory videos and the claim "Dein Weg. Your chance." From now on, the landing page will be the central information tool for all stakeholders: students, teachers, guardians, advisors and companies will find interesting facts about the project here. Later, it will also serve as a log-in for using the app.

Content with high Joy of Use and scientific support

Thanks to its many functions, berufswahlapp enables modern career guidance oriented to the media usage behavior of young people. All content is based on media pedagogy and is created in collaboration with a large team of scientists.

Important milestone for digital career orientation

Alex Gruhler, CEO of SUNZINET: "We are very proud to be able to accompany this great project. The portal site is the kick-off for the public communication around the berufswahlapp. And an important milestone on the way towards digital career guidance for young people. I am convinced that the berufswahlapp will make it easier for young people to find their 'ideal career'. This is good for Germany and will help the entire economy to find the right young talent."

Friedel Damberg, Head of the Youth and Training Department, Transition from School to Work at the Gesellschaft für innovative Beschäftigungsförderung mbH NRW: "We are delighted that all 16 federal states now want to use the berufswahlapp from next year, thus making an important contribution to supporting the vocational orientation of schoolchildren."

The project sponsors

The berufswahlapp is being developed as part of a project consortium of eight German states (Baden-Württemberg, Berlin, Bremen, Hamburg, Hesse, Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia, Saarland), the Federal Employment Agency, the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training, the Federal Working Group for Vocational Choice Passports, and the Gesellschaft für innovative Beschäftigungsförderung mbH (G.I.B.) NRW under the leadership of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. The project is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
